JavaFX Scene Builder - A Visual Layout Tool for JavaFX Applications

JavaFX Scene Builder is a visual layout tool that lets users quickly design JavaFX application Java user interfaces, without coding. Users can drag and drop UI components to a work area, modify their properties, apply style sheets, and the FXML code for the layout that they are creating is automatically generated in the background. The result is an FXML file that can then be combined with a Java project by binding the Java UI to the Java application logic.

Gluon Scene Builder is a drag and drop UI designer tool allowing rapid Java desktop and Java mobile app development. Scene Builder separates design from logic, allowing team members to quickly and easily focus on their specific aspect of application development.

Scene Builder 19.0.0 was released on October 7, 2022.

Scene Builder works with the JavaFX ecosystem – official controls, community projects, and Gluon offerings including Gluon Mobile, Gluon Desktop, and Gluon CloudLink.

Scene Builder is open source, and it is freely licensed under the BSD license. Gluon can provide custom consultancy and training, and open source commercial support.

JavaFX Long Term Support Gluon and JavaFX are inseparable – our team has contributed to, and led, some of the most critical open source libraries, written some of the primary books, maintained the most important tools, based our commercial software offerings on it, and even co-lead the OpenJFX project itself. Gluon is endorsed by the JavaFX community as world experts.

JavaFX is now separated from JDK releases and no longer included in the standard long term Java SE support offerings from Oracle. Gluon offers to share its vast knowledge base and experience in JavaFX to support customers and ensure continuity, stability and security for their environment.

Snippet from Wikipedia: Gluon

A gluon ( GLOO-on) is a type of massless elementary particle that mediates the strong interaction between quarks, acting as the exchange particle for the interaction. Gluons are massless vector bosons, thereby having a spin of 1. Through the strong interaction, gluons bind quarks into groups according to quantum chromodynamics (QCD), forming hadrons such as protons and neutrons.

Gluons carry the color charge of the strong interaction, thereby participating in the strong interaction as well as mediating it. Because gluons carry the color charge, QCD is more difficult to analyze compared to quantum electrodynamics (QED) where the photon carries no electric charge.

The term was coined by Murray Gell-Mann in 1962 for being similar to an adhesive or glue that keeps the nucleus together. Together with the quarks, these particles were referred together as partons by Richard Feynman.
