Tikta Avastha Paka (Bitter stage).

Food enters the ileum. The Air element continues to create peristaltic movement along with samana vayu, and there is rapid absorption. Stomach and intestines become light, which can create a sense of hunger. However, it is not good to eat now. This stage cools the body and calms pitta symptoms. Bitter taste is yielded into rasa dhatu.
