Pluralsight Projects

Cloud Monk's Studies on PluralSight

How do they work?

Pluralsight “Projects allows you to use what you learned on Pluralsight and provide you with a hands-on experience on your local computer. As you follow along with a set of provided learning tasks, you'll be able to build a real-world application. Don't worry - we'll do all the checking for you.”

Intro

“Pluralsight Projects allows you to use what you learned on Pluralsight and provide you with a hands-on experience on your local computer. As you follow along with a set of provided tasks, you'll be able to build a real-world application. Don't worry - we'll do all the checking for you.

Some additional benefits of projects include:

  • Spending more time practicing skills and less on prerequisite setup
  • Building real-world applications locally
  • Validating functional code in a real-world scenario”

How do Projects work?

“All projects have a unique, real-world scenario in mind. These scenarios are built with tasks within a given project. As such, each scenario takes a different approach to solving, creating, and building these projects locally, submitting your code, and letting us check your work.”

We have a couple options for working through a project:

Option #1: Cloning from GitHub

“This is all done using GitHub. Once you've completed tasks, push your changes to GitHub and we check your code for you.”

Option #2: ZIP download

“The ZIP download option removes the need for you to use GitHub and instead allows for downloading the project ZIP file on your machine, working on it locally, and uploading it back to us. From there, we check your work for any issues in your code.”
