Opscode

Opscode, now known as Chef, is a company and an open-source project that provides configuration management software for infrastructure automation. Originally founded as Opscode in 2008, the company rebranded as Chef in 2013 to reflect its flagship product. Chef enables developers and system administrators to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of servers and applications at scale. It uses a declarative domain-specific language (DSL) called “Chef Infra” to define system configurations, which are then applied consistently across multiple servers or environments. Chef's approach to infrastructure as code (IaC) promotes repeatability, consistency, and efficiency in managing complex IT environments. The platform has a vibrant community of users and contributors, along with commercial offerings and enterprise support from Chef Software, Inc. s://www.chef.io/
