Cloud Monk bought his first Apple II Plus on August 14, 1980 for $1995 from ComputerLand of North Olmstead, Ohio when he was 13 years old after saving up for 3 years. He first saw the Apple II at ComputerLand of San Rafael in 1977 after reading about it in the October 1977 issue of Popular Science Magazine. He bought his first Macintosh 128 on January 23, 1984 as part of the Own-a-Mac Program for Apple dealers.
